Melissa & Nick’s anniversary portraits in Flower Mound were so much fun and I was so happy to do this for them! They just celebrated their 12th dating anniversary and had a fun day date in Dallas at Cidercade, my favorite arcade place, and they later went to dinner to have asian noodles. Yum!

I met Melissa almost 4 years ago at a small photography workshop in Dallas, which feels like yesterday. I’m so excited for where her business has taken her. She’s so talented and has a huge heart for what she does! After numerous ups and downs this year, I’m happy Mel & Nick are doing so well now. Nick was in a bad car accident in June and recently finished physical therapy. Near the end of the session, I asked Nick to run toward Melissa to give her a giant bear hug for a series of pictures. Nick was so excited he was able to do it and they looked so so happy! After that pose, Melissa said with a sigh of relief, “Nick wasn’t able to do that before.” I loved capturing this moment for them and am so happy they’re on the uphill climb of this long battle.
